BROTHER, SISTER SENTENCED TO FEDERAL PRISON IN LEAVENWORTH DRUG TRAFFICKING CASE
KANSAS CITY, KAN. – A brother and sister both have been sentenced to federal prison in a Leavenworth drug trafficking case.
Brocke A. Graham, 22, Leavenworth, was sentenced to 235 months in federal prison and his sister, September P. Graham, 20, Leavenworth, was sentenced to 18 months in federal prison. They appeared Friday, Jan. 4, 2007, before U.S. District Judge Carlos Murguia.
In August, Brocke Graham was convicted during a jury trial on two counts of distributing crack cocaine, one count of possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine, one count of unlawful possession of a firearm after a felony conviction, and one count of tampering with a federal witness. He was arrested in September 2006 after selling crack to informants working with the Leavenworth Police Department.
September Graham pleaded guilty in May to one count of tampering with a witness. She admitted she threatened a person she believed was responsible for her brother being arrested and charged with drug crimes.
U.S. Attorney Eric Melgren commended the Leavenworth Police Department, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and Assistant U.S. Attorney Terra Morehead for their work on the case.
