FEDERAL CHARGES FILED IN INTRUST BANK ROBBERY

WICHITA, KAN. – Vance G. Bradshaw, 31, was charged Thursday with one count of bank robbery.

According to a criminal complaint, on April 28, 2008, Bradshaw robbed the Intrust Bank at 105 N. Main in Wichita, Kan.

An investigator’s affidavit filed with the complaint says Bradshaw entered the bank at about 1:30 p.m. and gave a teller a note saying, “Take all the money from the till and place it on the counter.”

In a dumpster near the bank, investigators found a backpack like the one the robber wore, as well as a black knit cap and a black and silver BB pistol. Investigators used photos taken by the bank’s surveillance cameras to help them locate Bradshaw and identify him as the robber.

If convicted, he faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison and a fine up to $250,000. The Wichita Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation worked on the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney David Lind is prosecuting.
