LEXINGTON, KY - A Nicholasville, Ky., man was sentenced for distributing prescription pills in several different cities in eastern Kentucky.

U.S. District Court Judge Jennifer B. Coffman sentenced Christopher Holland, 40, on Thursday for distribution of Oxycodone. Judge Coffman also sentenced Holland’s co-defendant, Florence Stinnett, 50, of Nicholasville, for possession with intent to distribute Oxycodone.

Holland previously admitted he either possessed or distributed approximately 1,300 Oxycodone pills. Holland distributed pills in Richmond, Lancaster and Danville.

On May 10, 2010, Holland sold a confidential informant 100, 30 milligram Oxycodone pills, and 60, 80 milligram Oxycodone pills for $4,500. Stinnett acknowledged that he drove Holland to the location of the transaction.

Shortly after the transaction, law enforcement arrested Holland and Stinnett and found an additional 140, 80 milligram oxycodone pills and more than $2,500 in cash in the vehicle.

Authorities later searched Holland’s home and located hundreds of pills.

Both defendants pleaded guilty to the charges earlier this year.

Under federal law, Holland and Stinnett each must serve 85 percent of their prison sentence, and, upon release, Holland will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office for five years. Stinnett will be supervised by the United States Probation Office for three years.

Kerry B. Harvey, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and Robert L. Corso, Special Agent in Charge, Drug Enforcement Administration, jointly made the announcement after the sentencing.
