FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
July 20, 2012

COVINGTON, KY - A Kenton County man admitted in federal court he tried to meet a 15 year-old female to engage sexual acts.

Brian T. Henderson II, 35, pleaded guilty on Thursday to attempted enticement of a child.

According to his plea agreement, in July of last year Henderson chatted online with an undercover officer whom he thought was a 15-year-old girl.

In these online chats, Henderson talked about having sexual intercourse in front of minors and inappropriately touching a minor. Henderson also explained in graphic detail the sexual acts he wanted to perform on the 15-year old girl.

On July 11, 2011, in an online conversation, Henderson identified a location in Kenton County where he wanted to meet the minor to engage in sexual activity. Once Henderson arrived at that location, Kenton County Police Officers arrested him.

Kerry B. Harvey, U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky and Brian Capps, Kenton County Police Chief jointly made the announcement today.

The investigation was conducted by Kenton County Police Department.

Henderson will be sentenced on November 8 at the Federal Court House in Covington. He faces a minimum of 10 years in prison. However, the Court must consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and the applicable Federal statutes before imposing a sentence.
