Dry Ridge Man Indicted for Illegally Entering the U.S. a Second Time

JUNE 29, 2012

COVINGTON, KY - An undocumented alien living in Dry Ridge,Ky., was indicted today for illegally entering the U.S. for a second time.

A federal grand jury in London returned an indictment charging 34 year-old Leonel Lopez-Limon with illegal re-entry after removal having previously committed an aggravated felony.

The indictment alleges that Lopez-Limon is not a United States citizen. He was previously convicted of committing an aggravated felony on February 22, 2010 and was subsequently removed from the United States as a result of that felony conviction. Lopez-Limon was discovered in Grant County, Ky., on May 5, 2012.

Kerry B. Harvey, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and John R. Korkin, Resident Agent in Charge, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, jointly announced the indictment.

The investigation preceding the indictment was conducted by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The indictment was presented to the grand jury by Assistant U.S. Attorney Anthony Bracke.
