COVINGTON, KY - A Lexington man admitted he robbed a Northern Kentucky bank out of thousands of dollars in May of this year.
Patrick Andrew Donald, 35, pleaded guilty to bank robbery on Monday. Donald admitted that he and an accomplice robbed the Security Bank and Trust Company in Maysville, Ky., of approximately $19,000.
Donald was indicted in June of this year.
Kerry B. Harvey, United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, Perrye K. Turner, Special Agent in Charge, Federal Bureau of Investigation, Ronnie Bastin, Chief of the Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Division of Police and Ron Rice, Chief of Police, Maysville Police Department, jointly made the announcement today.
The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government Division of Police, and the Maysville Police Department.
Donald is scheduled to be sentenced on January 14, 2013. He faces a maximum prison sentence of 20 years. However, the Court must consider the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and the applicable federal statutes before imposing a sentence.
