Lexington, Ky. —Jessie M. Taylor, 25, of Lexington, Ky., was sentenced today to eight months in prison by Senior United States District Court Judge Joseph M. Hood
for possessing ammunition after previously being convicted of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence
In December of 2007, Taylor pleaded guilty to the charges and admitted that on July 1, 2007, police responding to a domestic violence call and found him in possession of a quantity of 7.62 millimeter of ammunition that was associated with a Norinko MAK90 rifle.
Under federal law, Taylor must serve 85 percent of his prison sentence, and, upon release, will be under the supervision of the United States Probation Office for three years.
James A. Zerhusen, Acting United States Attorney for the Eastern District of Kentucky, and Paul Vido, Special Agent In Charge of (ATF -Louisville Field Division) the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives, jointly made the announcement today after the sentencing.
The investigation was conducted by ATF and the Lexington Division of Police. The United States was represented by Assistant United States Attorneys Brandon W. Marshall and Robert M Duncan Jr.
