LOUISVILLE DRUG DEALER SENTENCED ONE YEAR AND TWO MONTHS FOR CONSPIRACY TO DISTRIBUTE COCAINE

LOUISVILLE, KY - Mark Anthony Warner, age 30, of Louisville, Kentucky, was sentenced to 1 year and 2 months imprisonment in United States District Court, Louisville, Kentucky, for conspiracy to distribute cocaine, U.S. Attorney David L. Huber of the Western District of Kentucky announced today. Chief Judge John G. Heyburn II, United States District Court, also sentenced Warner to 3 years supervised release following incarceration. There is no parole in the federal judicial system.

Warner had pleaded guilty to conspiracy to distribute cocaine, which has a street value of approximately $100 per gram. During a search of his residence on December 7, 2007, police seized approximately three grams of cocaine and $247,833 in U.S. currency, which has been forfeited to the Drug Enforcement Administration.

The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Larry Fentress, and it was investigated by the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration.
