LOUISVILLE MEN INDICTED FOR CONSPIRACY TO DISTRIBUTE HEROIN
– Investigation by LMPD and DEA
LOUISVILLE, KY - A federal grand jury in Louisville returned an indictment on June 1, 2009, against Willie Caudle, age 60, Mark Roth, age 43, and Ronnie Houston, age 45, all of Louisville, Kentucky, on charges of conspiracy to distribute heroin, Acting U.S. Attorney Candace G. Hill of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.
The Indictment alleges that on March 12, 2009, in Jefferson County, Kentucky, the defendants conspired to knowingly and intentionally distribute and possess with intent to distribute heroin, a Schedule II controlled substance. Heroin sells on the street for approximately $250 per gram.
In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are twenty years’ imprisonment, a $1,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of three years.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Larry Fentress, and it was investigated by the Louisville Metropolitan Police Department and the United States Drug Enforcement Administration.
The defendants are scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on June 17, 2009, at 9:30 a.m., in Louisville, Kentucky.

proven guilty.
