THREE COLUMBIANS INDICTED FOR DISTRIBUTING HYDROCODONE IN ADAIR COUNTY

BOWLING GREEN, KY - A federal grand jury in Bowling Green returned an indictment on June 3, 2009, against Larry “Buck” Taylor, age 52; his wife, Teresa Karen Taylor, age 47; and his daughter, Candice Nell Thomas, age 27, all of Columbia, Kentucky, in Adair County, of distributing hydrocodone, Acting U.S. Attorney Candace G. Hill of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.

The Indictment alleges that on 6 different occasions between July 23, 2008 and September 8, 2008, one or more of the defendants distributed hydrocodone or Suboxone, addictive Schedule III controlled substances.

In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties for Larry "Buck" Taylor and Teresa Taylor are 10 years’ imprisonment, a $500,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of not less than 4 years, and for Candice Nell Thomas, 5 years’ imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and supervised release for a period not less than 2 years.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David Weiser, and it was investigated by the Kentucky State Police.

The defendants are scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on June 17, 2009, at 9:30 a.m., in Bowling Green, Kentucky.

only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless
proven guilty.
