LOUISVILLE, KY - The United States Attorney’s Office has no comment on the charges filed against Lester Goetzinger, as the charging document speaks for itself. Mr. Goetzinger has been placed on pre-trial diversion, which is used in cases where special facts warrant it. It is typically limited to those persons whose conduct and background show they are not habitual criminals and do not pose a risk of re-offending; who have truthfully accepted responsibility for their actions; and who will likely be successful in demonstrating good conduct for the term of the pre-trial diversion period. In Mr. Goetzinger’s case, that period is 12 months.
