TENNESSEE MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO PASSING COUNTERFEIT CURRENCY IN BOWLING GREEN
BOWLING GREEN, KY - Jason R. Anderson, age 22, of Madison, Tennessee, pled guilty to possessing and passing counterfeit currency, United States Attorney Candace G. Hill of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.
Anderson admitted that in January 2009, he knowingly possessed and passed counterfeit $10 and $20 bills in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The maximum potential penalties are 20 years’ imprisonment, a $250,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of 3 years.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney David Weiser, and it was investigated by the United States Secret Service. The plea was entered before Thomas B. Russell, Chief Judge, United States District Court, Bowling Green, Kentucky.
Anderson is scheduled to be sentenced before Judge Russell on December 1, 2009, at 11:30 a.m., in Bowling Green, Kentucky.
