LOUISVILLE MEN INDICTED ON COCAINE CHARGES

LOUISVILLE, KY - A federal grand jury in Louisville returned an indictment against Dudley J. Cox, a/k/a "Smutley" and Robert D. Curry a/k/a "Binky" on charges of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute and attempted possession with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine, United States Attorney, Candace G. Hill, of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.

The Indictment alleges that between March 2009 and August 14, 2009, Cox and Curry conspired and attempted to possess with intent to distribute five kilograms or more of cocaine.

In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are life imprisonment, a $4,000,000 fine, and supervised release for life; and the minimum potential penalties are 10 years' imprisonment and supervised release for a period of at least 5 years.

The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Daniel P. Kinnicutt, and it was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.

Cox and Curry are scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on September 22, 2009, at 9:30 a.m., in Louisville, Kentucky.

only and that person is presumed innocent until and unless
proven guilty.
