TWO LOUISVILLE MEN INDICTED FOR POSSESSION WITH INTENT TO DISTRIBUTE CRACK COCAINE
– Louisville men in possession of over 200 grams of crack cocaine
LOUISVILLE, KY - A federal grand jury in Louisville, returned an indictment against Montez Dominic Robinson, age 21, and William David Glenn, age 19, both of Louisville, Kentucky on conspiracy charges relating to possession with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine, United States Attorney Candace G. Hill of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.
The Indictment alleges that between August 21, 2009 and September 10, 2009, in the Western District of Kentucky, Jefferson County, Robinson and Glenn conspired to possess with the intent distribute 50 grams or more of crack cocaine. Based upon a criminal complaint filed on September 11, 2009, special agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) purchased, on three separate occasions, a combined total of more than 200 grams of crack cocaine from Robinson and Glenn worth more than $10,000.00. Following the final purchase, DEA special agents arrested both Robinson and Glenn.
In the event of a conviction Robinson and Glenn each face a maximum potential penalty of Life imprisonment, a $4,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of Life; and a minimum potential penalty of 10 years’ imprisonment, and supervised release for a period of 4 years.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Mac Shannon. The case was investigated by the Louisville Office of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
Robinson and Glenn are scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on October 22, 2009, at 9:30 a.m., in Louisville, Kentucky.
