TRIGG COUNTY MAN INDICTED FOR MANUFACTURING MARIJUANA
– Over 200 plants eradicated
PADUCAH, KY - A federal grand jury in Paducah returned an indictment on October 13, 2009, against Danny Wade Snyder, age 52, of Cadiz, Kentucky, in Trigg County, on charges of manufacturing marijuana plants, United States Attorney Candace G. Hill of the Western District of Kentucky announced today.
The Indictment alleges that from in or about and between Spring, 2009 and August 13, 2009, Snyder did knowingly and intentionally manufacture 100 or more marijuana plants, a Schedule I controlled substance.
In the event of a conviction, the maximum potential penalties are 40 years’ imprisonment, a $2,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of 4 years; and the minimum potential penalties are 5 years’ imprisonment, a $2,000,000 fine, and supervised release for a period of 4 years.
The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Michele Thielhorn, and it was investigated by the Kentucky State Police.
Snyder is scheduled to appear for arraignment before the United States Magistrate Judge on November 10, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in Paducah, Kentucky.
