MEMPHIS MAN SENTENCED TO OVER 6 YEARS IN PRISON AFTER PLEADING GUILTY TO DISTRIBUTION OF COCAINE
ROBERT LEE, a/k/a/ Raazaan Muhammed, 63, a resident of Memphis, Tennessee, was sentenced today in federal court by U. S. District Judge Martin L. C. Feldman to a total of seventy-four (74) months imprisonment (thirty-seven (37) months in prison as to each of two counts to run concurrently) after pleading guilty to conspiracy to distribute and distribution of cocaine hydrochloride, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten. In addition, the defendant was ordered to serve a total of eight (8) years supervised release during which time the defendant will be under federal supervision and risk additional imprisonment should he violate any terms of the release.
According to the court documents, LEE admitted that sometime before October 31, 2009, he conspires with other to possess and distribute five hundred grams or more of cocaine hydrochloride. Also, LEE admitted that on October 31, 2009, he intentionally distributed a quantity of cocaine hydrochloride.
The investigation is being conducted by Special Agents of the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Andre’ Jones.
