S. Attorney Jim Letten.

According to court documents, law enforcement agents in the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on DURR’s residence. Agents recovered approximately 188 grams of powder cocaine and various individually wrapped bags of both powder cocaine and crack cocaine. Agents also recovered two firearms from the residence.

If convicted, DURR, because of previous felony drug offense convictions, faces a minimum term of imprisonment of ten (10) years and a maximum of life imprisonment, a fine of $8,000,000.00 and at least five (5) years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment on the drug charge. For possessing a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, he faces a minimum of five (5) years and a maximum of life imprisonment consecutive to any other sentence he may receive.

U. S. Attorney Letten reiterated that the indictment/bill of information/complaint) is merely a charge and that the guilt of the defendant must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
