FEDERAL GRAND JURY RETURNS BANK ROBBERY CHARGES AGAINST NEW ORLEANS MAN

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
DORNELIUS BROWN, age 18, a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, was charged in a two-count indictment by a Federal Grand Jury for bank robbery, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.
The indictment charges that on March 7, 2008, DORNELIUS BROWN robbed the Capital One Bank, located on 3540 St. Charles Avenue. According to the indictment, BROWN approached a teller and placed a demand note on the counter.
If convicted, DORNELIUS BROWN faces a maximum term of imprisonment of twenty years (20) years, a fine of $250,000.00 and three (3) years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment.
U. S. Attorney Letten reiterated that the indictment is merely a charge and that the guilt of the defendants must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.
The case was investigated by the New Orleans Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Brian Capitelli.
