NEW ORLEANS WOMAN SENTENCED FOR CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT ACCESS DEVICE FRAUD

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRECIOUS ALEXANDER, age 22, a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, was sentenced in federal court to a federal felony involving access device fraud, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten today.

PRECIOUS ALEXANDER was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Ivan L. R. Lemelle to five (5) year term of probation, and a $100 special assessment. ALEXANDER was additionally ordered to pay $10,876.37 restitution to ALLTEL Wireless.

A Bill of Information was filed against ALEXANDER in September 2007 charging that she and others conspired to use stolen credit card numbers to purchase ALLTEL Wireless cellular telephone equipment and airtime. ALEXANDER pled guilty as charged on February 7, 2008.

This case was investigated by Special Agents of the Secret Service and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Irene González.
