NEW ORLEANS WOMAN SENTENCED FOR CONSPIRACY TO COMMIT ACCESS DEVICE FRAUD

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SHARRELL JONES, age 27, a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, was sentenced yesterday in federal court by U.S. District Judge Carl J. Barbier to a five (5) year term of probation, and a $100 special assessment, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten. JONES was additionally ordered to pay $7,982.75 restitution to ALLTEL Wireless.
According to court documents, JONES pled guilty on August 6, 2008 admitting that she and others conspired to use stolen credit card numbers to purchase ALLTEL Wireless cellular telephone equipment and airtime.
This case was investigated by Special Agents of the Secret Service and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Irene González.
