ILLEGAL ALIEN PLEADS GUILTY IN FEDERAL COURT

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
FABIAN SANCHEZ-MARTINEZ, age 29, a resident of Mexico, pled guilty in federal court before U. S. District Judge Sarah Vance to illegal entry announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.
According to court documents, on August 25, 2008, FABIAN SANCHEZ-MARTINEZ, an alien, was knowingly and unlawfully found in the United States in St. Bernard Parish within the Eastern District of Louisiana.
MARTINEZ was charged in a Bill of Information on September 25, 2008. Judge Vance scheduled a sentencing date of January 7, 2009.
The case was investigated by the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney W. Scott Laragy.
