NEW ORLEANS MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO FEDERAL DRUG CHARGES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TORY T. WILLIAMS, a/k/a “Tim Martin” and a/k/a “T”, 30, a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, plead guilty in federal court today before United States District Judge Ivan L.R. Lemelle to a two-count indictment for distribution of over five (5) grams of cocaine base or “crack”, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten today.

According to court records, WILLIAMS admitted that he sold 12.12 grams of crack to an undercover agent on September 18, 2008 and then sold 40.9 grams to the same agent on September 23, 2008. WILLIAMS faces a maximum term of forty (40) years imprisonment, a $2,000,000 fine, at least four (4) years supervised release following any term of imprisonment and a $100 special assessment fee. Sentencing is to be held on September 23, 2009 at 2:00 P.M.

This case was investigated by Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Edward J. Rivera of the Violent Crime Unit.
