NEW ORLEANS MAN SENTENCED TO 5 YEARS IN PRISON FOR FEDERAL DRUG CHARGES

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

TORY T. WILLIAMS, a/k/a Tim Martin, a/k/a “T”, age 30, a resident of New Orleans, Louisiana, was sentenced yesterday in federal court by U. S. District Judge Ivan L. R. Lemelle to five (5) years (60 months) imprisonment for distribution of over five (5) grams of cocaine base or “crack”, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.

Additionally, WILLIAMS was ordered to serve four (4) years of supervised release following his release during which time he will be under federal supervision and risk additional imprisonment should he violate any terms ofthe supervision.

According to court records, WILLIAMS admitted that he sold 12.12 grams of crack to an undercover agent on September 18, 2008 and then sold 40.9 grams to the same agent on September 23, 2008.

This case was investigated by Agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives and was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Edward J. Rivera of the Violent Crime Unit.
