FEDERAL GRAND JURY INDICTS SEVEN IN DRUG CONSPIRACY AND WITH GUN VIOLATIONS

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

KEWAYNE MORGAN, aka “Duke” aka “Shorty” aka “Weezy”, age 26, JOCK WALKER, aka “Tweet” , age 26, CLARISSA MORGAN, age 23, HERMAN MCMILLAN, aka “Cat Eyes”, age 23, EARL JOHNSON, aka “Peter”, age 37, PINKIE BONDS, age 20, DARRELL PITTS, aka “Darryl Pitts”, aka “Turk”, all residents of New Orleans, Louisiana., were charged in a 12 count indictment by a federal grand jury for conspiracy to distribute and possess with the intent to distribute 50 grams or more of cocaine base (crack) and a quantity of cocaine hydrochloride, heroin, and marijuana. Morgan was also charged with additional drug charges as well as with violations of the Federal Gun Control Act, announced U. S. Attorney Jim Letten.

This indictment charges the above listed defendants with participating in a drug conspiracy dating back to January of 2007 and continuing until today’s indictment.

If convicted, all of the defendants face a possible maximum sentence of life imprisonment, a fine of $4,000,000.00 and five (5) years of supervised release following any term of imprisonment.

U. S. Attorney Letten reiterated that the indictment is merely a charge and that the guilt of the defendant must be proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

The case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, the New Orleans Police Department, and the Orleans Parish Criminal Sheriff’s Office. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U. S. Attorney Maurice E. Landrieu, Jr.
