STATEMENT FROM U.S. ATTORNEY CARMEN M. ORTIZ REGARDING APPOINTMENT OF JENNIFER BOAL AS U.S. MAGISTRATE JUDGE IN THE DISTRICT OF MASSACHUSETTS
“Jennifer Boal has served the Department of Justice, and the U.S. Attorney’s Office, with great distinction and ability for more than a decade. Under her stewardship as Civil Chief for the last seven and a half years, the Civil Division has had an exceptional record in representing the people of the United States, whether it be pursuing health care fraud matters, enforcing the Americans with Disabilities Act, or committing dangerous sexual predators under the Adam Walsh Act. Jenny has also skillfully led a team of highly respected attorneys in defending the United States against a wide variety of civil claims. Her appointment is not only a great honor for her, but a great benefit to the federal court. She will be sorely missed here, but the public can be confident that she will be an outstanding United States Magistrate Judge.”
