ANNAPOLIS DRUG DEALER SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON
Baltimore, Maryland - U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz sentenced Terry Bernard Johnson, age 34, of Annapolis, Maryland, today to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
The sentence was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Special Agent in Charge Ava Cooper-Davis of the Drug Enforcement Administration - Washington Field Division; and Michael A. Pristoop, Chief of the Annapolis Police Department.
According to his guilty plea, on April 10, 2008 Johnson sold 62 grams of crack cocaine for $2,000 to a confidential informant, at an Annapolis residence. In December 2008, Annapolis police learned that drugs were being sold from another home in Annapolis. When that home was searched on January 4, 2009, law enforcement found 39 grams of cocaine under the mattress of a bed where Johnson had been sleeping, and $4,293 in Johnson’s pants pockets.
United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended Assistant United States Attorney Mushtaq Gunja, who prosecuted the case.
