BALTIMORE DRUG DEALER SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON
Baltimore, Maryland - U.S. District Judge J. Frederick Motz sentenced Sentwal Smith, age 28, of Baltimore, today to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, announced United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein.
According to his guilty plea, Smith sold a total of approximately 57 grams of heroin to an undercover law enforcement agent from July 25 to August 27, 2007. A search of Smith’s residence after the August 27 sale revealed an additional amount of 13.71 grams of heroin and 110.97 grams of cocaine base.
United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein thanked the Drug Enforcement Agency, Baltimore City Police Department and Baltimore County Police Department for their investigative work. Mr. Rosenstein commended Assistant United States Attorney Christopher J. Romano, who prosecuted the case.
