FREDERICK MAN SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON

 

Baltimore, Maryland - U.S. District Judge Catherine C. Blake sentenced Juivon Lee Jackson, a/k/a “Bookman” a/k/a “Book” a/k/a “B,” age 27, of Frederick, Maryland, today to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute cocaine base, announced United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein.

 

According to his guilty plea, on three occasions from February 27 to March 26, 2008, Jackson sold a total of 236.1 grams of cocaine base to co-defendant Leon Jones in Frederick, Maryland. On each occasion, Jones delivered the drugs to a cooperating individual, who turned the drugs over to law enforcement.

 

Leon Jones III, age 23, of Frederick, Maryland pleaded guilty to the drug conspiracy and is scheduled to be sentenced on August 5, 2009.

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein thanked the Drug Enforcement Administration for its investigative work and commended Assistant United States Attorney Bryan M. Giblin, who prosecuted the case.
