WALDORF CRACK DEALER SENTENCED TO 10 YEARS IN PRISON

 

Greenbelt, Maryland - U.S. District Judge Roger W. Titus sentenced Jhonte Norris Brawner, Jr., age 27, of Waldorf, Maryland, today to 10 years in prison followed by five years of supervised release for possession with the intent to distribute crack cocaine.

 

The sentence was announced by United States Attorney for the District of Maryland Rod J. Rosenstein; Special Agent in Charge Ava Cooper- Davis of the Drug Enforcement Administration - Washington Field Division; and Charles County Sheriff Rex Coffey.

 

According to Brawner’s guilty plea, beginning on August 17, 2007, and continuing through August 30, 2007, Brawner conspired with others to distribute crack cocaine, often selling the crack cocaine from his apartment in Waldorf . Brawner sold over 100 grams of crack cocaine to an undercover source working with law enforcement.

 

United States Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein commended Assistant United States Attorneys James A. Crowell IV and Jonathan Su, who prosecuted this Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force case.
