Portland, Maine: United States Attorney Thomas E. Delahanty II announced that Jerry
Blair III, 60, of Winslow, was sentenced today in U.S. District Court in Portland by Judge D.
Brock Hornby to 9 years in prison and 10 years of supervised release for possessing child
pornography. Blair was also ordered to pay $5,250 in restitution to one of the girls depicted in
images that he possessed. Blair had pled guilty to the charge on November 2, 2012.
According to court records, in May of 2012, federal agents conducted an undercover
investigation into the sharing of child pornography over the internet. A computer using a Time
Warner Cable internet connection in Blair’s name was found to be sharing child pornography
using a file sharing program. Agents executed a federal search warrant at Blair’s residence in
Camden in July of last year. Agents found a computer and a compact disk in Blair’s bedroom
that were determined to contain numerous child pornography images and videos. Blair had
downloaded the child pornography by computer using the internet.
The investigation was conducted by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s
Homeland Security Investigations.
