ILLEGAL ALIEN ARRESTED IN AUDRAIN COUNTY ON IMMIGRATION CHARGES

St. Louis, MO: Guilebaldo Garcia-Hernandez was arrested in Audrain County on immigration charges, United States Attorney Catherine L. Hanaway announced today.

GUILEBALDO GARCIA-HERNANDEZ, an illegal alien from Mexico, was indicted for re-entering the United States after being previously deported.  If convicted, this charge carries a maximum penalty of two years in prison.  He was arrested by the Missouri State Highway during a traffic stop on November 22, 2008, in Farber, Missouri.

Hanaway commended the work performed on the case by the Missouri Highway Patrol, the Bureau of Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Assistant United States Attorney Fred Dana, who is handling the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

The charges set forth in an indictment are merely accusations, and each defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
