JEFFERSON COUNTY MAN SENTENCED ON FEDERAL METHAMPHETAMINE CHARGES

St. Louis, MO: A Jefferson County man was sentenced on federal methamphetamine charges, United States Attorney Catherine L. Hanaway announced today.

CHRISTOPHER MITCHELL, Dittmer, Missouri, was sentenced to 55 months imprisonment on one felony count of possession with intent to distribute in excess of 50 grams of methamphetamine.  He appeared before United States District Judge Donald J. Stohr.

Hanaway commended the work performed on the cases by the Jefferson County Municipal Enforcement Group, the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and Assistant United States Attorney Michael Bert, who handled the case for the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
