ARKANSAS MAN PLEADS GUILTY TO DRUG DISTRIBUTION CHARGES

St. Louis, MO: An Arkansas man arrested last December in Phelps County has pled guilty to drug charges, United States Attorney Catherine L. Hanaway announced today.

RAUDEL GALVEZ, Springdale, Arkansas, pled guilty to one felony count of possession with intent to distribute in excess of 100 kilograms of marijuana.  He appeared today before United States District Judge Charles A. Shaw.   Galvez now faces a penalty range of 5 to 40 years in prison when he is sentenced on June 11, 2009.

Hanaway commended the work performed on the case by the Phelps County Sheriff’s Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
