LOS ANGELES MAN ORDERED TO PAY $60,000 IN DELINQUENT CHILD SUPPORT

St. Louis, MO: The United States Attorney’s Office announced today that Darnay Scott of Los Angeles was sentenced to three years of probation and ordered to pay restitution of $60,000 in delinquent child support. 

DARNAY SCOTT had previously pleaded guilty to willful failure to pay child support to an out-of-state dependant.  In addition to probation and restitution, Scott was ordered to perform 300 hours of community service.  The child support order he failed to pay is out of a St. Louis court.  He appeared before Chief U.S. District Judge Catherine D. Perry today in St. Louis.

The case was investigated by the Department of Health and Human Services - OIG.  Tom Albus handled the case for the U.S. Attorney's office.
