MAN SENTENCED FOR CRACK COCAINE

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bradley J. Schlozman, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a man was sentenced in federal court today for possessing crack cocaine with the intent to distribute.

William Greene, 60, address unknown, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Nanette K. Laughrey this afternoon to seven years and three months in federal prison without parole.

On Aug. 24, 2006, Greene pleaded guilty to possessing with the intent to distribute more than 50 grams of crack cocaine.

This case was prosecuted by Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Amy B. Marcus. It was investigated by the Kansas City, Mo., Police Department.
