COLUMBIA MAN SENTENCED TO 21 YEARS
FOR CRACK COCAINE
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Bradley J. Schlozman, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Columbia, Mo., man was sentenced in federal court today for possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Marcus DeWayne Harris, 31, of Columbia, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Nanette K. Laughrey this morning to 21 years and 10 months in federal prison without parole.
On Nov. 17, 2006, Harris pleaded guilty to possessing with the intent to distribute five grams or more of crack cocaine on April 23, 2006.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jim Lynn. It was investigated by the Boone County, Mo., Sheriff’s Department and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
