PENNSYLVANIA MAN SENTENCED
FOR COCAINE, MARIJUANA
JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. – Bradley J. Schlozman, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Braddock, Penn., man was sentenced in federal court today for possessing with the intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
Chico Allen Roberts, Sr., 30, of Braddock, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Nanette K. Laughrey this afternoon to five years in federal prison without parole. The court also ordered Roberts to forfeit to the government a 1994 Trailmobile trailer and $2,339, which was derived from the proceeds of illegal drug trafficking.
On July 28, 2006, Roberts pleaded guilty to possessing with the intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine on Jan. 17, 2006, in Callaway County, Mo. Roberts also pleaded guilty to possessing with the intent to distribute marijuana on Jan. 17, 2006, in Callaway County.
This case was prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jim Lynn. It was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration, the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
