Robert Allen Stark, 41, of Shenandoah, was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Dean Whipple this morning to three years and 10 months in federal prison without parole. The court also ordered Stark to pay $2,447 in restitution.
On Nov. 1, 2006, Stark pleaded guilty to stealing $2,447 from U.S. Bank, 109 S. Third St., Tarkio, on Aug. 21, 2006. Stark entered U.S. Bank at approximately 10:15 a.m. and placed a handwritten demand note on the counter. The teller provided all of the cash from her teller drawer, which Stark placed in his shirt before leaving the bank on foot.

Stark was arrested during a traffic stop near Tarkio a few minutes later.
