KC MAN INDICTED FOR CRACK COCAINE
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Bradley J. Schlozman, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Kansas City, Mo., man was indicted by a federal grand jury today for possessing with the intent to distribute crack cocaine.
Jerome C. Thompson, 35, of Kansas City, was charged in a two-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Kansas City.
Counts One and Two of the federal indictment allege two separate occasions in which Thompson distributed 50 grams or more of crack cocaine, on Feb. 14, 2006, and on May 5, 2006.
Schlozman cautioned that the charges contained in this indictment are simply accusations, and not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charges must be presented to a federal trial jury, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Rudolph R. Rhodes, IV. It was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration.
