FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
ARIZONA MAN INDICTED FOR COCAINE
SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – John F. Wood, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Yuma, Ariz., man was indicted by a federal grand jury today for possession with the intent to distribute cocaine.
Carlos R. Delgado, Jr., 48, a citizen of Mexico currently residing in Yuma, was charged in an indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Springfield with being in possession with the intent to distribute in excess of five kilograms of cocaine on Oct. 28, 2006, in Greene County, Mo.
Wood cautioned that the charge contained in this indictment is simply an accusation, and not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charge must be presented to a federal trial jury, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney David P. Rush. It was investigated by the Drug Enforcement Administration and the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
