FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
KC MAN INDICTED FOR ARMED BANK ROBBERY
KANSAS CITY, Mo. – John F. Wood, United States Attorney for the Western District of Missouri, announced that a Kansas City, Mo., man was indicted by a federal grand jury today for the armed robbery of Bank of America.
Marlon Jaye Larry, 33, of Kansas City, was charged in a three-count indictment returned by a federal grand jury in Kansas City.
Today’s indictment alleges that Larry used a handgun to steal $38,938 from Bank of America, 10731 State Line Rd., Kansas City, on June 27, 2007. The indictment also charges Larry with using a firearm in the commission of that crime of violence, and with being a felon in possession of firearms. According to the indictment, Larry, having been convicted of a felony, was in possession of a Romarm, SA/CGUR 7.62 x 39 assault rifle and a Taurus 9 mm pistol on June 27, 2007.
Wood cautioned that the charges contained in this indictment are simply accusations, and not evidence of guilt. Evidence supporting the charges must be presented to a federal trial jury, whose duty is to determine guilt or innocence.
This case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney D. Michael Green. It was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Kansas City, Mo, Police Department.
