Michael Jeffery anderson Found Guilty in U.S. Federal Cour

Bill Mercer, United States Attorney for the District of Montana, announced today that on March 10, 2009, in Billings, after a 2-day federal district court trial before Chief U.S. District Judge Richard F. Cebull, MICHAEL JEFFERY ANDERSON, age 51, was found guilty of possession of a machinegun. He is currently detained.

ANDERSON faces possible penalties of 10 years in prison, a $250,000 fine and 3 years supervision.

Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Ed Zink prosecuted the case for the United States.

The investigation was a cooperative effort between the Bozeman Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.
