Bill Mercer, United States Attorney for the District of Montana, announced today that on December 9, 2009, in Helena, after a 2-day federal district court trial before U.S. District Judge Donald W. Molloy, MICHAEL DALE FERGUSON, a 59-year-old resident of Lincoln, was found not guilty.

FERGUSON had been charged with assault of a U.S. Forest Service employee.
