Marcia Junetta Yarlott Plead Guilty in U.S. Federal Cour
The United States Attorney's Office announced that during a federal court session in Billings, on December 17, 2010, before Chief U.S. District Judge Richard F. Cebull, MARCIA JUNETTA YARLOTT, a 26-year-old resident of Yellowtail, pled guilty to felony child abuse and neglect. Sentencing has been set for March 11, 2011. She is currently released on special conditions.
In an Offer of Proof filed by Assistant U.S. Attorney Lori H. Suek, the government stated it would have proved at trial the following:
On March 27, 2010, YARLOTT, N.Y., and another individual were smoking meth in a car near a school in Lodge Grass. They were captured on the school's surveillance camera footage passing a pipe around. During individual interviews, they all admitted smoking meth.
Also in the car was J.T.E., YARLOTT's seven-month old son.
YARLOTT faces possible penalties of 5 years in prison, a $10,000 fine and 3 years supervised release.
The investigation was conducted by the Bureau of Indian Affairs.
