CONVICTED FELON SENTENCED IN HEROIN CASE
RALEIGH - United States Attorney George E. B. Holding announced that in federal court here, November 15, 2007 United States District Judge Terrence W. Boyle sentenced ALEX ANTONIO GRAHAM, 25, to 120 months imprisonment for conspiracy to possession with intent to distribute heroin and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
A Criminal Information was filed by the United States Attorney’s Office on March 29, 2007. GRAHAM pled guilty on May 3, 2007. During numerous traffic stops for various violations from October, 2004, to July, 2006, GRAHAM was found possessing various amounts of heroin. On June 15, 2005 and July 17, 2006, GRAHAM was found in possession of a Ruger 90P and a Smith and Wesson 9mm handgun, respectively.
Investigation of the case was conducted by the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation, the Onslow County Sheriff’s Department and the Wilmington Police Department.
Special Assistant United States Attorney Timothy Severo was prosecution for the government.
