United States Attorney George Holding today commented on the opinion of the Fourth Circuit in the case of United States v. Jeffrey MacDonald: “The United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit has remanded the case to the district court for further consideration of MacDonald’s claims of newly discovered evidence. The opinion is being studied by attorneys for the Government both in our office and in Washington to decide how best to proceed.
