Fargo Man Sentenced for Harboring Illegal Aliens
FARGO - U.S. Attorney Timothy Q. Purdon announced that on May 13, 2013, Garrett Glenn Setterholm of Fargo, N.D., was sentenced before U.S District Judge
Ralph R. Erickson on a charge of harboring illegal aliens.
Setterholm, 29, pleaded guilty on Jan. 25, 2013, to harboring six or more workers
who were not in the United States legally. Setterholm, who operated Setty Construction, a
roofing company out of Fargo, N.D, located and hired the illegal workers online through
Craigâ€™s List. As part of their employment, Setterholm provided the illegally employed
workers with apartments and transportation to and from the work sites. The incidents
occurred between June and September of 2011 in the District of North Dakota and
Judge Erickson sentenced Setterholm to three monthsâ€™ imprisonment to be
followed by six months of home confinement. Setterholm was also ordered to pay an
The case was investigated by Homeland Security Investigations.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Nick Chase prosecuted the case.
