Lincoln Man Sentenced for Methamphetamine Conspiracy

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Ruben Carrillo Castellon 27, of Lincoln, Nebraska.,was sentenced by the Honorable Richard G. Kopf to seven years and three months in prison for conspiracy to distribute 50 grams or more of methamphetamine. Castellon has been detained during the pendency of the action.

In early 2011, Castellon and Martin Morales were involved in several sales of methamphetamine to undercover officers which took place at a trailer court in Lincoln, Nebraska.. Castellon was arrested on March 30, 2011, while on his way to meet an undercover officer to whom he planned to sell six ounces of methamphetamine. Tests by the Nebraska State Patrol Crime Lab showed the purity of the methamphetamine being sold by Castellon was as high as 90%.

This case was prosecuted with the assistance of the Lancaster County Attorney’s Office and was investigated by the Lincoln Police Department, the Lancaster County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
