Omaha Woman Sentenced for Distributing Methamphetamine

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Maria Lee Duarte, a/k/a Maria Delores Figueroa, a/k/a Maria Delores Dua, 57, of Omaha, Nebraska., was sentenced on June 6, 2012, to 120 months in prison by United States District Judge Lyle E. Strom, for distributing 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine. In addition to her prison term, Duarte will serve five years of supervised release following her release from prison.

Duarte was arrested by agents of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives on February 24, 2011, following an investigation in which Duarte sold methamphetamine to an undercover ATF agent.

This case was investigated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives as part of Operation Tat-Man-Do.
