Lincoln Man Sentenced for being Felon in Possession of a Firearm

March 5, 2012

United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that Kenneth Johnson, 50, of Grantsburg, Wisconsin, was sentenced on March 2, 2012, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to five years probation by United States District Judge Richard G. Kopf, for being a felon in possession of a firearm. In addition to his prison term, Johnson was ordered to pay a $5,000.00 fine.

Johnson was arrested by the Lincoln Police Department on September 13, 2020, after several hunting rifles and numerous rounds of ammunition were discovered in two storage units he had rented. Johnson had previously been convicted in Oregon for burglary, theft and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

This case was investigated by the Lincoln Police Department and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms.
